Coaching Courses
We are delighted that as part of the development of Touch in Europe, Dennis Coffey, one of the most established coaches from Touch Football Australia is coming to England in May 2009 to deliver a level one and two touch coaching course and to continue on the development of establishing a formal touch coaching structure in England. Those passing the course will be awarded an internationally recognised qualification and be able to deliver formal touch player coaching courses at a beginners level.
European Touch Coaching Course Details
The two training dates that have been organised:
Level One Coaching Course
Dates: Saturday 15th - Sunday 16th May 2010
Venue: Civil Service Ground, Bristol
Cost: tbc
Level Two Coaching Course
Dates: Saturday 8th - Sunday 9th May 2010
Venue: tbc, London
Cost: tbc
Format: To be advised but to include classroom work and practical outdoor work.
Level 1: 14hrs course work
Level 2: 18hrs course work and 20hrs home study
A short workbook is to be completed before the course either in a group with other coaches or individually.
Attendance will be required on Saturday and Sunday 8/9am -4/6pm. These times are only provisional at present and will be firmed up at a later date.
Attendees will also receive a Touch Europe coaching manual and workbook before the course date.
Noting your interest
You can note your interest in attending the level one course by e-mailing Fiona Tonagh () or Karl Baxter (karl@englandtouch.org.uk) if you would like to participate in the level two course. You will then be e-mailed updates on the course details as they become available and will eventually be asked to confirm your place by paying the course fee.
It is important that those interested indicate this NOW as numbers are severely limited. We have already had interest from other European Touch Nations whose courses are full and would like their coaches to attend the England courses.

This is a fantastic opportunity for those interested in coaching to attend a course by possibly the top coaching co-ordinator in the game today and we would strongly urge those of you who would like to be more involved in coaching to register your interest ASAP so as not to miss out.
